Chimichurri south-american sauce

Simple Chimichurri Recipe

A delicious condiment that goes well with all meat and steak recipes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Finely chop the parsley and the garlic
  2. Add parsley, garlic, oregano, and chilli flakes to a bowl.
  3. Pour in red wine vinegar and olive oil.
  4. Mix well until combined.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Let sit for 10–15 minutes before serving for best flavour.

Chicken
Roasted vegetables
Tip
For extra freshness, add:
a small squeeze of lemon juice
finely chopped coriander
a little fresh chilli
Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
